Food Dehydrator
Dehydrated Fruit Snacks
Healthy, all-natural dried apple chips and mango strips — perfect for on-the-go snacking or lunch boxes. The Culivaro food dehydrator's gentle airflow concentrates natural sweetness with zero added sugar.
Ingredients
- 3 apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji)
- 2 ripe mangoes
- 2 bananas
- 1 lemon (for juice)
- 1 tbsp cinnamon (optional)
- 1/2 tsp salt (for soaking water)
Instructions
- Prep the fruit: Wash all fruit. Core and slice apples into 1/8-inch rounds (a mandoline works great). Peel and slice mangoes into 1/4-inch strips. Slice bananas into 1/4-inch coins.
- Prevent browning: Soak apple slices in cold water with a squeeze of lemon juice for 5 minutes, then pat dry.
- Season: Lightly dust apple slices with cinnamon if desired.
- Arrange trays: Place the fruit in a single layer on the Culivaro dehydrator trays, leaving space between pieces for airflow.
- Dehydrate: Set the dehydrator to 135°F and dry for 5–6 hours, rotating trays halfway, until the fruit is leathery with no moisture pockets. Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
Pro tip: Fruit is done when it bends without breaking and feels dry to the touch. Let it cool completely before storing — trapped steam will rehydrate the chips and shorten their shelf life.
